Visual direction and content creation.

M.C. Squares is a modern, eCommerce brand and the inventor of the reusable sticky note. We made productivity tools for the home, office, and everywhere in-between. From notepads to planners and sticky notes, our specially designed products are intended to organize and simplify daily tasks and can be reused 2,000+ times.

 

Since joining the M.C. Squares' team, I have played an integral role in establishing and nurturing our brand's identity through cohesive visual direction. Through visual storytelling, I strive to create a brand identity that reflects our story and values. I have adeptly crafted emotive and authentic narratives to market across all digital touch points, including storefronts, email campaigns, digital ads, social content, and more.  Each day, I coordinate photoshoots, style props, edit GIF animations, photos, and videos, and manage the distribution of our assets. I also add hand-lettering on our products, adding a personalized touch to our creative content.

In December 2021, our Instagram suffered a detrimental hacking incident, resulting in deletion and complete rebuild. During this challenging period, I actively contributed to the reconstruction of our social presence. Thanks to our teams' dedication and strategic efforts, we have reached an impressive milestone of 25,000 followers in less than a year, and we continue to grow at a steady rate.

Shopify maintenance.

Throughout the duration of my career at M.C. Squares, I have maintained our Shopify storefront, which has included regularly updating product listings and developing product display pages (PDPs) for new launches. After meticulously optimizing each PDP lineup, we experienced a remarkable increase in eCommerce sales and conversion rates, reaching nearly 3% growth.

 

In September 2022, I played a proactive role in suggesting and supporting the implementation of a more user-friendly navigation system for our website. Then, in July 2023, I was tasked to redesign our website. This project encompassed revamping the home page and crafting more than 15 landing pages to enhance our online presence and user experience.

E-mail + SMS marketing.

Throughout the past couple years, a significant portion of our website traffic can be directly attributed to the robust impact of our email and SMS marketing efforts. In September 2021, M.C. Squares partnered with Sticky Digital Co. to generate a substantial $350,000 in sales from email and SMS channels. Our joint efforts encompassed the construction and refinement of customer flows, implementation of A/B testing strategies, and seamless coordination of deadlines across our teams.  From the ground up, we established a comprehensive marketing calendar, and I took charge of crafting weekly newsletters and promotional campaigns.

 

Starting in September 2022, we transitioned the entirety of our email and SMS operations in-house, effectively internalizing these functions. As of March 2023, I am exclusively responsible for the operation of our email marketing program; this encompasses tasks such as strategic scheduling, composing captivating copy, and designing engaging creative elements, spanning both visual imagery and  email layout.

Promo and Education B2B Sales Collateral.

At M.C. Squares, we have a team of experienced, in-house representatives who are dedicated to helping expand our sales channels. I provide collateral, such as one-pagers and brochures, on an as-needed basis to ensure their success.

Product design for eCommerce and retail.

Beginning in January 2022, M.C Squares began diversifying our product offerings by introducing bundles intended for the retail market. Alongside the Art Director/Graphic Designer, I assisted in concept ideation, research, illustration, and design input. Together, in a few short weeks, we created over fifteen new bundles. Our products strike the perfect balance between style and functionality, offering customers a wide selection to choose from. Among our newly designed bundles, our Cleaning Bundle quickly emerged as a best-seller and has remained so since it's launch.

 

Our new bundles have received praise on Buzzfeed, Good Morning America, The View, Apartment Therapy, among others. In July 2022, we were honored to be selected as a sustainable brand to be featured in Ellen DeGeneres's Fall BE KIND Subscription Box, further solidifying our presence in the market. We are steadily progressing towards retail and potential collaborations in the pipeline, including Target, Hallmark, Kroger, Sam's Club, The Container Store, and more.
